Microneedling
What is the treatment
Microneedling is a corrective treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair mechanisms and improve overall skin structure. Using controlled micro-injuries, the treatment activates collagen and elastin production, helping the skin regenerate and strengthen over time.
This treatment is particularly effective for improving skin texture, reducing the appearance of acne scars, post-surgical scars, stretch marks, and enlarged pores, softening fine lines, and evening out skin tone. With a series of treatments, the skin gradually becomes smoother, firmer, and more radiant.
*Microneedling can be used either as a maintenance treatment to stimulate collagen production and maintain skin quality, or as a corrective treatment to address concerns such as acne scars, post-surgical scars, uneven texture, and stretch marks. The number of sessions will vary depending on the skin concern and level of correction required, but typically involves 4–6 treatments performed consecutively, spaced about 4 weeks apart depending on the skin’s healing response.

Skin analysis and consultation
Assessment of skin condition, medical history, treatment goals, and skin barrier integrity to determine treatment suitability. Clinical photographs are taken prior to each treatment to document and monitor progress.
Topical numbing application
Cleansing of the skin to remove oils, makeup, and surface residue, followed by application of a medical-grade topical numbing cream to the treatment area. The anesthetic is left in place for approximately 20–30 minutes to ensure optimal comfort during the procedure.
Removal of numbing cream & Deep cleansing
Careful removal of the numbing cream followed by thorough cleansing of the skin to eliminate any remaining residue and prepare the skin for the microneedling procedure.
Microneedling procedure
Medical-grade microneedling performed with a precision device to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Needle depth is carefully adjusted according to the skin condition being treated and the optimal therapeutic depth required. Mild pinpoint bleeding may occur and is considered a normal treatment endpoint.
Post-treatment care
No products applied immediately following the procedure to avoid introducing substances into the freshly created micro-channels. The medical-grade glide medium used during treatment is left on the skin. The client is instructed to cleanse the skin in the evening before bedtime and apply the recommended post-treatment products.

Pre & Post Care
Preparation
Aftercare
Avoid excessive sun exposure prior to treatment and ensure the skin is not sunburned. Retinol, tretinoin, or other prescription products that may irritate the skin should be discontinued at least 7 days before the procedure. If you regularly use exfoliating products such as acids, enzymes, or scrubs, they should be stopped 48 hours before treatment. Avoid introducing new active skincare products in the days leading up to your appointment, and arrive with clean skin without makeup if possible.
Mild redness and sensitivity are expected for 24–72 hours following treatment. Light skin peeling or flaking may also occur as the skin renews itself. The skin should be kept clean and treated gently during this period. Avoid applying active or exfoliating skincare products until the skin has fully recovered. Sun exposure should be minimized and daily broad-spectrum SPF is essential to protect the skin while it heals. Follow the post-treatment skincare recommendations provided to support optimal recovery and results.
